ICBC (Asia) Financial Innovation Competition 2019

BPCC organized the preliminary competition on 23 May 2019. 
The ICBC Financial Innovation Competition aims to establish an open platform for talent cultivations in universities, promoting innovative ideas in financial services and technology, and jointly exploring the future development of the banking industry. The competition encourages students to look at future spotlights, to actively engage in social practice and market research, and to propose creative ideas and solutions on financial products and services in banking industry.Also, 19 students from seven outstanding teams were offered internship opportunities at ICBC (Asia) during summer in 2019.

BPCC CityU Case Competition 2018

It is jointly organized by BPCC and College of Business, and supported by the Knowledge Transfer Office and Clinique HK, was held on 28th March. 40 teams took part in this year competition and worked on a new product marketing campaign for the cosmetics brand Clinique. Participants were required to analyze the current trends and formulate a sound and feasible promotion plan for Clinique.

Amplify trading simulation event 

It is our honour to start the new year by collaborating with Amplify Trading. We are glad to invite Xiaoyu Zhang, Head of China at Amplify Trading, to be our speaker.


Xiaoyu Zhang has 7 years of international financial market trading and training experience. Prior to joining Amplify Trading, he was a derivatives trader at Morgan Stanley in London. Xiaoyu Zhang has designed and delivered financial market courses for top financial institutions and universities around the world. Each year, he interacts with more than 2000 students and is a passionate career coach.
 

BCG alumni sharing event

It is our honour to invite Mr Song Li, our CityU alumnus who worked in Boston Consulting Group, to give us an Alumni Sharing.

Mr Song Li has worked in Security, Private Equity before, and joined BCG in 2019. BCG is one of the top management consulting firms in the world. McKinsey, BCG and Bain are known as "MBB", which ranks top in management consulting. Mr Song Li will share his experience of working in the top tier consulting firm, how he entered BCG as a CityU alumnus and share his advice from academic and career aspects.
 

BPCC x Stargazers - 2nd Workshop 

BPCC Welcoming Night 2019

Following the recruitment, new members were invited to join the BPCC Welcoming Night, which was held on 8th Oct. The event was consisted of three parts: networking, experience sharing, and mini-case competition to assist our new members to commence their journey in case competition.

Beginning Semester Party 

While the Welcoming Night provided new members chances to join the community and build up the network, the purpose of Beginning Semester Party is to gather old and new members and strengthen the cohesion of BPCC.

 

Our members will be engaged by the networking session and mini-case competition.  In the party, we will introduce the list of upcoming competitions and encourage our members to team up and join.

How to improve your case analysis skills?

We are pleased to invite Miss Jessie Cheng (University Representative for Australia Undergraduate Business Case Competition 2018) and Miss Martyna Chmielewska (Champion of the 2019 HSBC/HKU Hong Kong Business Case Competition) to share their experiences of how they utilize their case analysis skills to build a feasible yet incredible proposal. And provide advice to our members to be equipped with this skills.

 Presentation: Distinct your Business Proposal

Good business idea needs an eye-catching presentation to stand out. Thus, BPCC Workshop Series: Presenting a Successful Business Case will be offered to share the presentation and storytelling techniques from the outstanding case competition winners.
